Before you book
What is the difference between steam cleaning and dry cleaning a carpet?
Dry methods work a powder or foam into the pile and vacuum it back out, which lifts surface soil. Hot water extraction injects hot water and solution and draws it straight back out, so the dirt leaves with the water instead of staying in the carpet. It takes longer and it costs us more to do, but it is the reason the carpet still looks clean in a month.
Can you get out old or set-in stains?
Usually, yes — the red stain in the photos above had soaked into the pile. We pre-treat the mark, agitate it, then extract. Some dyes and bleach damage are permanent, and we will tell you that honestly before we start rather than after.
How long will the carpets take to dry?
Two to three hours in a normally ventilated room. Extraction pulls most of the moisture back out rather than leaving the carpet saturated, so you can usually put the room back into use the same day.
Will it shrink or damage my carpet?
No. The method is matched to the fibre, and we check the carpet before we start. If something needs a gentler approach we will say so on the day.
Are the products safe around children and pets?
Yes. Everything we use is non-toxic and biodegradable, and there is no strong chemical smell left in the room once the carpet is dry.
What if I am not happy with a room?
We walk through the rooms with you before we leave. If a room is not right, we re-clean it free.
